Protecting Our International Youth Federation believes that the universal access to healthcare is one of the building blocks for a thriving India. We embody the Right to Equitable Access to Healthcare, including the underlying determinants like access to safe drinking water and proper sanitation. The main aim of health interventions of Protecting Our International Youth Federation is universal access to healthcare services in remotest areas of the country, integrated comprehensive primary healthcare, with emphasis on services addressing the needs of women, children and person with disability.
Mobile Youth Health Units
Our Mobile Youth Health Units bring essential healthcare directly to young people in underserved communities. Each unit is staffed with qualified healthcare professionals including doctors, nurses, and youth counselors. Services include general health checkups, mental health screening, reproductive health education, and preventive care. The units also provide health education and promote positive health-seeking behaviors among youth through peer education programs.
Youth Mental Health Services
Our comprehensive mental health program addresses the unique psychological needs of young people. Through a network of specialized counselors and mental health professionals, we provide accessible mental health services including individual counseling, group therapy, and crisis intervention. The program focuses on early detection and prevention of mental health issues, stress management, and building emotional resilience among youth.
Adolescent Health Program
Our Adolescent Health Program provides specialized healthcare services tailored to teenagers and young adults. The program offers comprehensive health screenings, nutritional guidance, reproductive health education, and support for managing chronic conditions. We work closely with schools and community organizations to ensure adolescents receive age-appropriate healthcare information and services in a confidential and youth-friendly environment.
Youth Health Education Program
Our Health Education Program empowers young people with knowledge about personal health, hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention. Through interactive workshops, peer education sessions, and digital learning platforms, we help youth develop healthy lifestyle habits and make informed decisions about their health. The program covers crucial topics like sexual health, substance abuse prevention, and mental wellness.
School Health & Wellness Program
Our School Health & Wellness Program promotes comprehensive health services within educational institutions. Working with schools, we provide regular health screenings, immunization support, and health education. Our team of healthcare professionals conducts vision and dental checks, monitors growth and development, and offers counseling services. The program also includes training for teachers and school staff in basic health monitoring and emergency response.
